<p> The PIC® Pest Free Living Insect Killer bulb is a dual-purpose bug zapper compatible with most standard light sockets. The E26 fixture size fits most standard light sockets for indoor lighting fixtures and outdoor lanterns. It is equipped with two lighting functions designed to kill a wide range of flying insects including: moths, flies, gnats and mosquitoes. Flip the electrical switch once to turn on the LED light and zapper function, flip it a second time to activate only the zapper function and a third time to turn all functions off. It is recommended to place the bulb in an open outdoor lantern when using the bug zapper to reduce the population of flying insects in outdoor living areas. Lanterns with glass coverings will reduce the effectiveness of the bulb. The added catch tray allows for an easy to clean zapper without putting the user close to the zapping grid. The LED is rated as 195 lumens and has an estimated energy cost of $0.36 per year. </p>
